I trained in Community Theatre Arts at Rose Bruford College and hold an MPhil in Playwriting from the University of Birmingham.

I began my career as an actor while also writing musicals and performing in an alternative cabaret group. Over time, I moved from acting in plays to writing them. My work is driven by a passion for storytelling and a commitment to making theatre accessible and meaningful to diverse audiences.
As a playwright and screenwriter, I’ve been:

As a composer, I’ve written songs and scores for over 30 productions. Credits include:
- Her Day – Coventry City of Culture (2022)
- Maggie May – Liverpool Royal Court (2018)
- Ostrich Boys – Birmingham Rep (original production)
- Dinosaur Dreams – Unicorn Theatre (Writers’ Guild Award nomination for Best Play for Young People)
I’ve been shortlisted for the Cameron Mackintosh Resident Composer Scheme and received a merit in the Unisong International Song Contest.
In 2017, I joined the Mosaic Opera Collective, formed under the auspices of the Royal Opera House. In 2018, we had a residency at Grimeborn, where a short excerpt from my opera-in-development, Red Seed, was performed by international soprano Jessie Tse.
I’m a member of BOLDtext Playwrights, a collective of West Midlands playwrights whose work has been staged in venues such as The Door at Birmingham REP and various site-specific locations.
In 2022, I was writer-on-attachment to the Royal Shakespeare Company.
I’m a member of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain and British Equity.
